Using our products

By creating an account or using Anchor Cloud, Anchor AI, or anchortechs.org, you agree to these terms. If you're using them on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your credentials and encryption password safe. Because Anchor Cloud is zero-knowledge, if you lose your password, we cannot recover your encrypted files — there is no backdoor.
• You must be old enough to legally consent to these terms in your jurisdiction.
• You're responsible for the content you store, share, or send through our products.

Acceptable use

Don't use our products to store or distribute illegal content, to attack or abuse our infrastructure or other users, or to circumvent the security measures that protect other accounts. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that clearly violate this, while respecting that we cannot and do not inspect the encrypted contents of your files.

Anchor AI

Anchor AI (Fathom-1) is a tool, not a professional advisor — don't rely on it for legal, medical or financial decisions. It can be wrong. On Anchor Cloud, it can act on your files (organizing, deleting, sharing) only when you ask it to; on chatai.anchorcloud.org's general chat, it has no access to your vault at all.

Availability

We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We're a small, independent team — we'll communicate outages when we can, but we make no formal uptime commitments at this stage.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

Limitation of liability

Our products are provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, Anchor Technologies isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of them.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the date above and notify account holders where the change is significant.
